The BRITA LARQ iQ bottle is a self-cleaning bottle with two-stage purification and app integration that tracks your water intake and reminds you to drink water.

The UV-C wavelength emitted by the UV-C LED in the LARQ Bottle PureVis™ Caps is optimized for the 270–275 nanometer spectrum to eliminate up to 99%* of biological contaminants such as E. coli by breaking down their DNA before they have a chance to spread, thereby improving the quality of your water. The LARQ Bottle PureVis™ should be filled with clear water that contains no physical particles, as the UV-C LED cannot remove these contaminants from the water. The UV-C LED chip in the LARQ Bottle PureVis™ is smaller, more energy-efficient, non-toxic (mercury-free), and more cost-effective than traditional mercury-based UV technology.

The cap has a built-in sensor for hydration tracking. After filling the bottle and screwing on the cap, place the bottle on a flat table. The cap will glow a white light indicating that a measurement has been taken; this can take up to 5 seconds after placing it on the table.
Hydration tracking works best with cold or room-temperature liquids. Hot liquids will fog up the sensors and tracking will not be accurate.

The BRITA MicroDisc uses Pure-Taste-Technology to effectively filter unwanted substances while allowing minerals to pass through.

The main ingredient of the BRITA MicroDisc is fine grained activated carbon made from natural coconut shells that contains a highly porous structure. This porous structure has a very large inner surface with millions of tiny pores that trap and lock away unwanted substances such as chlorine and other taste impairing substances, as well as micro particles (≥ 15 μm). The result is fresh and pure-tasting water.

To create the solid disc of the MicroDisc, a fleece and a small amount of a binder is required to bind the granulated activated carbon together. All ingredients of the BRITA MicroDisc have been tested to food-grade quality.
